Township Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes
Minutes for each meeting are posted here. Minutes that are still in draft form (not yet approved as accurate at a subsequent meeting) are indicated as such at the top of each page. Minutes contain hyperlinks that, if clicked, will open an additional file containing the materials provided to the Board in their meeting preparation packets. In an effort to expand public input into the governmental process, the Board of Trustees has created a variety of Citizen Advisory Committees. Members of these advisories include township citizens, and representatives from local governments such as the Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa & Chippewa Indians, local agencies with relevant resources or expertise and the Township Manager. Advisory chairpeople appointments are recommended by the township Supervisor and confirmed by vote of the Board of Trustees. Chairpeople have sole discretion over selection of their advisory members.
All advisory meetings are held pursuant to the Open Meetings Act. At a minimum, notice is provided through posting at the township hall no less than 18 hours prior to a meeting. The general public is welcomed and encouraged to attend.
