The Acme Township Board of Trustees has formed eight citizen advisory committees in an effort to engage and involve the public in various issues facing the township. One of these advisories is the Parks & Recreation Advisory, chaired by Owen Sherberneau. This group's first task will be to complete work on a site plan for a modest boat launch improvement and recovery of grant funds awarded to the township by the DNR for the project. This group will address general Parks & Recreation issues and spearhead the mandated five-year update of the township Parks & Recreation Plan due in 2008.
